Calling all girls in grades 3 to 7! Hawthorn School is pleased to present our first virtual book club. This is the virtual version of our popular school book club. During the first book club, at the end of January, we drank tea and discussed “Understood Betsy”. Everyone had such a good time that we looked forward to doing it again and we’d like to encourage girls from all schools to participate. To our Hawthorn Students invite your friends! There is nothing like sharing a good book. To register for the event visit: www.hawthornschool.com/
Learning in the digital world
Since moving to a fully online platform in March, we have been both continuing many of the activities we normally do at this time of year. The students and teachers have had to adapt to new ways of doing things and have done so with typical Hawthorn spirit and creativity. Check back here for updates on what has been happening and be sure to watch our social media accounts where we share often!
Welcome to the H.I.V.E
Every year at Hawthorn in the spring we host Art Week to showcase the beautiful work that is done by our students this past under the guidance of our Art Teachers, Madame Petre and Mrs. Pazooki. This year, as with many other things, we’ve moved online and we are very pleased to be able to welcome you to the H.I.V.E. (The Hawthorn Interactive Virtual Exhibit).
You can take the guided tour or you can wander around using your arrow keys or your mouse to zoom. Don’t forget if you want to enter the indoor space you need to open the door! If you want to see more details about a particular piece you need only click on it.
We sincerely hope that you enjoy this virtual exhibit of the art created by our students!
