Our Artists Picture the Nativity

Our Artists Picture the Nativity

Every year, Hawthorn’s Visual Art classes hold a Christmas card contest in two categories: designs for the Christmas Mini-Market, and the official school Christmas card, which is printed and shared by the school.

Our Visual Arts Grade 8–12 students participated again this year. They planned and sketched their ideas in advance, using one full class period to complete their final cards. The theme for the contest this year was the Nativity, and students could create their designs using any medium, including collage, drawing, painting, or printmaking.

The Hawthorn administrative team served as the judges. Congratulations to two of our US students whose cards were selected for printing as the official school Christmas cards this year: Ria in Grade 12 and Katelyn in Grade 8.

We are very proud of all our student artists for their creativity and hard work. Thank you, girls, for participating in this beautiful annual Hawthorn Christmas tradition, and for sharing your pictures of the great joy of the Nativity with our community!
