LOT Club’s Dress for Success Clothing Drive Ends Nov. 28!

November 28 @ 8:30 am

Dear Hawthorn Parents,

We’re excited to announce the Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Club’s Dress for Success clothing drive, running until November 28! This initiative supports women entering the workforce by collecting professional clothing – giving them the tools and confidence needed to embark on new careers and support their families. Jobs are transformative, and together, we can help women take those vital steps toward independence.

As the girls prepare for their own future with the help of mentors, it is especially meaningful for our students to help other women in the community. Our students are asking their mother, aunts, sisters, grandmothers, and cousins to look through their closets for gently used or new professional work attire they no longer need.

Drive Details:

  • Dates: November 4 – 28, 2025
  • Goal: 100 items by November 28
  • Collection point: Hawthorn School Atrium
  • House points will be awarded for each donation!

Donation Guidelines:
We are gratefully accepting:

  • Blazers (US size 8 / medium & up)
  • Cardigans (US size 8 / medium & up)
  • Shirts, blouses, sweaters (US size 8 / medium & up)
  • Pants, trousers (US size 8 / medium & up)
  • Dresses (US size 8 / medium & up)
  • Shoes (sizes 7, 8, & 11 only)

All donations must be:

  • In excellent condition, freshly laundered or dry-cleaned, and ironed
  • Free of rips, tears, or stains
  • Clean, ready-to-wear, and office-appropriate (no sweatpants, t-shirts, or sneakers)
  • Modern or classic styles appropriate for interviews or business settings

Every item donated will go directly to Dress for Success Toronto, where it will help women transform their professional prospects and future. Please ensure items meet the outlined guidelines, as only quality, work-appropriate attire can be used by the program.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping Hawthorn’s LOT Club lead the way in supporting women’s success in our city. Together, we can empower others while inspiring our students to be leaders of tomorrow!
