Students Step Up at Hawthorn’s First Open House of 2024-2025: Thank You, Girls!

Hawthorn’s first Open House of the new school year was held on October 2nd, a beautiful, sunny, crisp fall day. We were thrilled to welcome visiting families and students to our campus and to show them the Hawthorn difference in person.

Paula and Aila (LS students) greeted the guests at the front door, gave them their name tags, and escorted them to the conference room. Rocio (’25) gave a stirring testimony about how Hawthorn has transformed her high school years into an abundance of opportunities, connections, and lessons that she began to value most when she briefly studied elsewhere; at least one parent teared up at her words. Chiara, Isabella, Maddy, Mika, Vicky and Ria led the school tours and ably answered questions without any staff member present. One family commented on how confident and well-spoken our students are. They were impressed with the absence of the words “um” and “like” when the girls spoke.

Thank you to each of our students for representing the values and virtues of Hawthorn so beautifully at this first Open House of  2024-2025, as you consistently do. You stepped up once again to help out your community, and we are so proud and grateful to be working alongside you!

‘My personal growth during my time at Hawthorn has been nothing short of remarkable. I am filled with gratitude and pride to be a part of this exceptional community. My hope is that each of you can share in this pride and appreciation for the Hawthorn experience as well!’ – Rocio, ’25
