Hawthorn Athletes Qualify for CISAA Cross Country Championships

Hawthorn School is proud to announce that two of our dedicated athletes, Madeleine and Yuna, qualified for the C.I.S.A.A. Cross Country Championships held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Trinity College School in Port Hope.

The championship course, renowned for its mix of grass, gravel, and mud terrain, winds through the Trinity College campus, passing open fields, orchards, and two road crossings, and includes the challenging “Mt. Trinity”, a demanding hill section that tests endurance and perseverance.

Representing Hawthorn with great spirit and determination, both athletes delivered outstanding performances:

  • Madeleine – Senior Girls (6000m) – placed 13th overall with a time of 29:40.3
  • Yuna – Junior Girls (5000m) – placed 36th overall with a time of 30:58.8

Their commitment, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the season reflect the values of Hawthorn Athletics: discipline, courage, and excellence.

We congratulate Madeleine and Yuna for their achievements and thank all our cross-country athletes for a season filled with hard work, enthusiasm, and personal growth.
