In a culmination of many weeks of rehearsals, Hawthorn’s violinists, cellists, and pianists lifted their bows and touched the keys to bring baroque, classical, and folk Christmas music to life in our Atrium on the morning of our last day of school.
Our concert began with the US Strings Ensemble, and LS group and solo performances followed. Our youngest instrumentalists, in Grade 3, got their first taste of performing before an audience of parents, faculty, and LS students – and they did beautifully! For a stellar finale, LS Strings teacher, Ms. Szalados, performed on violin with Kaylee, Grade 7, and Kaylee’s mother, a professional pianist.
A very special thank you to both Ms. Szalados and Ms. Kim, for bringing our musicians’ talents to fruition. This recital brought so much beauty and joy to our community!
