Another win for Hawthorn!

Another win for Hawthorn!

Hawthorn hosted St. John’s Kilmarnock U14 Volleyball team on January 13, 2026 and delivered a convincing 3–0 victory. Hawthorn won three straight sets 25–8, 25–5, 25–14, setting the tone early with strong serving pressure and steady passing.

Earlier that morning, the U14 team played a scrimmage game against the Senior team and won, showing excellent effort and clear progress in their teamwork and confidence on court.

Across all three sets against SJK, Hawthorn stayed organized in transition, communicated well on defense, and limited SJK’s scoring opportunities.

The teams exchanged CISAA sportsmanship bracelets in recognition of respect and fair play at the end of the game. From Hawthorn, Aila and Claire were selected to receive the bracelets for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship.

A big thank-you as well to our volunteers who supported the match: Isa for scorekeeping, and Marianna and Lucia for running the flags. Special thanks to Chloe, our Athletics Rep, for helping with the organization and game-day preparation.

Our first away game is coming up next Tuesday, January 27 vs. Trinity College.

GO, HAWTHORN, GO!
