Hawthorn students love a good contest and our faculty is happy to offer a variety of exciting ones for students to explore. Here are just a few of the extra opportunities for our students to build skills, meet other enthusiastic learners, and participate in a challenge!
Cursive is Cool Handwriting Contest for students from kindergarten to Grade 6
Polar Expressions Poetry and Short Story Contest for students from kindergarten to Grade 12
Institute for Excellence in Writing Contest for aspiring and accomplished writers, ages 8 to 18
Constructing the Universe math enrichment classes in Grades 4 to 7. This year, Lucia (Gr.7) conquered the challenge of constructing the cosmological circle, the symbol of Divine Wisdom restored to the earth, using compass and straightedge, without being given any of the steps of its geometric construction.
