Dear Families and Friends of Hawthorn School,
Our girls attend Hawthorn too, Liza goes to Daycare and Anna is in 3rd grade in Lower School. Our family has been moving around the world which puts us into a position where we face a lot of challenges.
Education of our girls is a very important thing for us, that is why we chose Hawthorn. Hawthorn provides a loving environment, timeless values based on faith while providing a high level of education to our daughters, so they are prepared for their next adventure wherever that will be.
There are so many aspects of Hawthorn School for Girls that make our school special, but in the end, the real magic comes from its people. The moment you step on the campus, everyone is warm and welcoming creating a wonderful atmosphere for children to learn and grow. In this positive environment, the focus always centers on our children so they can grow spiritually, cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our children are not only challenged academically but also nurtured in the faith and empowered to serve others. Throughout a variety of educational and social programs, the School supports us parents to be the primary educators of our children, while creating connections between our families.
However, the pressure of the operating budgets makes these achievements increasingly more challenging each year. Our tuition does not fully cover the true cost of educating a student at Hawthorn. Annual Fund dollars make the difference. Investing in the annual fund allows the school to close the gap on expenses not covered by tuition. It also allows for the enhancement of academic and ancillary programming, sustaining the operation and maintenance of our school and keeping classrooms, science and athletic facilities up-to-date and well equipped.
Remember, the success of our school is rooted in the strength and support of our dedicated community. Every gift is an investment in your child’s education. Every donation matters and every dollar goes directly to our children. Our goal this year is to achieve 100% participation as we strive to attain, and possibly surpass, our target of $220,000 !
