On Monday, January 13th, the Grade 6 and 7 students put a delightful twist on the Icelandic tradition of Jolabokaflod, where books are exchanged on Christmas Eve and the night is spent immersed in stories and indulgent chocolate treats.

After lunchtime, the students gathered in the Learning Centre, bringing along their favourite fictional books to read.

The room transformed into a cozy haven, with soft candlelight and twinkling fairy lights casting a warm, enchanting glow. As they nestled into their chosen spots, the students got lost in the pages of their books while savouring delicious chocolates.

The magic of the moment was so captivating that even teachers and staff couldn’t resist joining in, curling up with their own books and a chocolate or two. For those couple of hours, the Learning Centre became a portal to another world – one that fed not only the imagination, but also our taste buds!
