Hawthorn’s valiant Leaders of Tomorrow 2.0 club members have been collecting items and assembling 50 care packages for less fortunate women and men in our city. Each parcel consists of socks, granola bars, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, meat sticks, wipes, handwritten notes, hand sanitizer, hand warmers, gum, and sanitary napkins for women.
Twenty-one LOT members hand-wrote notes of encouragement, compassion, and hope, and assembled the items over two weeks during Enrichment and lunch.

On January 27th, Yuna, Simona, Olivia, Maria Paula, Luisa, Ria and Emma travelled with Miss Yu to the Yonge Street Mission to deliver the packages in person. They got a brief explanation from Lisa, a staff member, regarding the work that the YSM does. Lisa explained how our packages will help many people.
Hawthorn’s LOT members managed to get everything donated, and wish to extend heartfelt thanks to all of our generous sponsors, as well as to everyone at YSM for spearheading this crucial mission in our city. We’re so happy to learn about YSM and play a part in your work.
