Team Spirit at CISAA Track & Field Championships!

The CISAA Senior Track & Field Final Championship was held over two days, May 12 and 13, at York University. This is one of the hardest sports to qualify in, and our US athletes competed with focus, determination, and strong team spirit across a variety of events.

Results Summary:

Adesuwa:
Shot Put: 2nd Place (Silver Medal) – Qualified for Metros
Discus: 4th Place – Qualified for Metros
Javelin: 12th Place

All of our student-athletes demonstrated resilience and commitment throughout the season and performed admirably at the final championship. Special congratulations to Adesuwa for qualifying for the Metro Region OFSAA Qualifier Meet in two events. She competed alongside the best GTA Public, Catholic, and Independent school athletes at Birchmount Stadium in Scarborough on May 26 (Discus) and May 27 (Shot Put), showing incredible dedication and skill at this high-level competition.

On May 13, Hawthorn’s Lower School Track & Field team participated in a meet held at York University Indoor Track & Field Centre. After their events, the team had the opportunity to enjoy lunch together with our Upper School athletes and cheer them on at the CISAA Championship taking place at the York University Outdoor Track & Field Stadium.
