If there were a few remaining Torontonians who weren’t baseball fans yet, we’ve all hopped on the bandwagon now! We were thrilled that the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday to take the lead in the World Series, and now they have the chance to win the title right here at home in Game 6 today. We are SO excited to cheer them on!
Thank you, Hawthorn students, faculty, and staff, for participating in our school’s spontaneous Blue Jays Ultimate Fan Day with your amazing blue and white attire on Thursday, October 30th. Dressed in our home team’s colours, we jumped into a Lower School activity at lunch with Blue Jays game highlights playing on the big screen in the Atrium. As soon as we finished eating, we changed into our gym shoes and filed into the Gym for a quick game of Blue Jay–inspired “House Soccer-Baseball”, teaming up with our Upper School Big Sisters, and led by Ms. Lim. What a fun way to celebrate this memorable occasion!
