Hawthorn Welcomes Tammy Peterson: A Story of Hope, Faith, and Transformation

Hawthorn Welcomes Tammy Peterson: A Story of Hope, Faith, and Transformation

On Tuesday, October 28th, we were honoured to welcome Canadian podcaster Tammy Peterson to meet with parents, Upper School students, faculty and staff, alumnae, and friends at Hawthorn School for Girls. After breaking bread with us at a special lunch, Tammy talked to us about the inspiring personal story of her healing from terminal cancer, her journey of faith, and her conversion to Catholicism.

To learn more about Tammy’s visit to Hawthorn this week, we invite you to read the wonderful article, Tammy Peterson delivers message of hope to Catholic students, written by journalist Sheila Nonato for The Catholic Register, Canada’s leading source of Catholic news since 1893. We are deeply grateful for Tammy’s visit to Hawthorn, and to Queenie Yu, our Director of Character Education, who organized this magnificent event. By sharing the incredible history of how her life has been transformed through suffering, Tammy touched our own lives, and left us uplifted, encouraged, and changed. Thank you, Tammy!
