Hawthorn hosted the U14 Girls DIII Volleyball Semifinals and Finals on February 24th at the WePlay Centre in Markham ON, featuring four exciting matches.
Season Context
Trinity College School (TCS) was the only team Hawthorn (HAW) lost to during the regular season. After defeating St John’s-Kilmarnock (SJK) in the semi-finals, HAW earned the opportunity to face TCS once again in the finals. This time, the U14 HAW team showed outstanding strength and determination, securing a decisive 2–0 victory (25–7, 25–7).They showed great progress throughout the season and performed their very best, making it a well-deserved and impressive championship win.
Earlier that morning at 7:30 a.m., the U14 team also participated in a scrimmage against our Senior team and earned a win, demonstrating their depth, confidence, and strong preparation heading into the finals.
