Hawthorn Students WIN CISMF 2026 Cover Design Competition

We are proud to share exciting news from the CISMF 2026 Cover Design Competition.

Following direct communication with Canadian Independent Schools Music Festival (CISMF) 2026 Lead Coordinator Sandi Chasson, we are thrilled to formally confirm the official results of this year’s submissions.

Our talented Visual Art Club students have achieved outstanding recognition:

  • Kaytlyn G. ’30 has been awarded First Place, and her artwork will appear as the official CISMF 2026 program cover.
  • Hailey Y. 28′ has been awarded Third Place, and her design will be published in the official program.

This is a remarkable accomplishment for both students. Their creativity, dedication, and strong design skills truly stood out among submissions from across participating schools.

Both designs were submitted by Ms Pazooki Visual art teacher just before the deadline after overcoming technical challenges, and we are especially proud of the perseverance and professionalism demonstrated throughout the process. Their hard work has paid off in an extraordinary way.

The CISMF coordinator also extended congratulations to Hawthorn for this outstanding achievement — a testament to the strength of our Visual Arts program and the commitment of our students.

Please join us in congratulating Kaytlyn and Hailey on this fantastic accomplishment. We look forward to seeing their work featured in the official CISMF 2026 program on Saturday, April 18, 2026
