On the crisp Fall afternoon of Thursday, October 10th, Hawthorn’s Junior Cross Country team ventured out to Sunnybrook Park for the 10th Annual CISAA Crestwood/Havergal Cross Country Meet.
After the short bus ride, our U10 – U13 athletes arrived dressed to run, excited and nervous in the balmy weather. Students fuelled up on their lunches as the coaches told them about the races.
The U10 runner was first to line up at the starting line after her warm-up. Everyone cheered her on for her 1.7 km race! Afterwards, our U11s got set up for their 2.3 km race. Finally, our U12s started their 2.3 km race.
Well done, Hawthorn, for another race well run! We’re so proud of you!
